Cat6 cables are designed to deliver fast internet speeds and handle gigabits up to 2000 Mbps.  Cat5e is only suitable for internet speeds up to 100 Mbps and may result in dropped calls and slower user-interface.

It’s important to note that even with a Cat6 cable, VoIP connectivity is only as strong as its weakest link. We suggest that our customers upgrade to fiber optic cable and internet connection where applicable.
